Really enjoyed this event. Level wise it was judged right and taught principles in a very practical way which I found more helpful than traditional classroom learning. Learnt some useful tips and techniques that I will practise going forwards.

    Title or Location: Swansea marina
Since taking up photography 18 months ago, I find myself drawn time and time again to this location as there always seems to be something new to photograph. This time, late morning on11th June, it was Swansea's historic J shed, a late 19th century grain storage facility and now Grade II listed building. I just wanted to capture it's beauty and scale and chose a monochrome setting on my panasonic TZ99 as i thought it would suit the subject. The photo was taken from the opposite side of the dock.

I wanted to capture the delicate structure of the Dandelion in the foreground with the dramatic afternoon sky. The empty bench completed the composition nicely.

This was taken from the pier below the big wheel. There was a good sky with nice clouds and I always think black and white really enhances the scene. I liked the crescent formed by the waves coming across the bay through Middle Head. I took this with on a fuji x100f camera with a nd8 filter

    Title or Location: Rhossili, Gower
I had spent a couple of hours in Rhossili and on my way back to the bus stop I noticed how good the sunset looked in the village itself. Strange how this sometimes happens. That I get the most interesting shots right before I leave for home. Some cars passed, but i knew the bus was approaching so made sure I caught it with the sundown behind.

I enjoyed a photowalk event with Laurie Gallant and the Sacramento Photography group visiting Horton's Iris Farm. I always bring my Infrared camera with me in hopes of getting some good IR shots. When I saw the old red truck, I HAD to shoot it in IR! This is one of my favorite shots from that day and will go into my portfolio for sure!

Title or Location: Circular Quay Sydney Australia
I was on holiday in Sydney and I went to Circular Quay to take some night time photos, when I saw that the opera house was lit up. I took a couple of photos ,then went to change my lens.By the time I had done this I saw the lights on the opera house had gone out. I then realised it was a rehearsal for Vivid a Sydney winter light show which takes place around the harbour.

During the visit to the Moonlit Sanctuary Park I entered the reptiles hut and spotted this baby croc floating with only the eyes emerging from the water. It seemed just like the adult ones I had seen in Queensland, so I tried to recreate the situation as in the wild.Happy about the result.Shot with Canon RP and Canon RF 85mm f:2.
